About Me
LPC (Texas) over ten years. My focus of therapy is cognitive (talk therapy).
"I accept you for who you are and where you are at in your life, with no judgment."
Currently, I have over ten years of experience in both private practices, inpatient hospitalization, and Intensive Outpatient groups. I am a Client-Centered Therapist using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, and both can be modified depending on your individual needs. One of the therapeutic approaches I use is to assist you in nurturing your inner strengths that you may not be aware exists. Working together once you realize your inner power, both therapist and you collaborate on cultivating that inner strength. For example, I've worked with individuals that self-harm, formerly referred to as cutters/self-mutilation. Also, I worked with SI/HI, depression, anxiety, people with AH/VH/TH and paranoia, addictions, relationship issues, trauma/abuse, grief, eating disorders, sleep disorders, self-esteem, Bipolar, coping with life changes, attachment issues, body Image, developing healthy boundaries. Counseling is a collaborative process, "Working together for a better tomorrow."
I request that clients contact prior to scheduling a session, as I work for another site doing counseling. Thank you for your understanding.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Stephen Simoson. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
He’s absolutely wonderful . He’s patient and he listens ! I appreciate that very much , and he listen in a way a friend would listen to you . He guides you with advice and recommendations but most of all he just wants to hear what you have to say and that’s super wonderful . I recommend him very much and I personally have had relationship problems and he’s helped me cope with allot of negative feelings about them and quiches me to heal internally!
Stephen Simoson has helped me develop my mindset, perspective and techniques to cope with my issues. I've been very satisfied with this experience.
