About me

Often, people may feel like they need to work through their issues alone and that reaching out for support is a sign of weakness. My experience has been the opposite of that. It takes courage to reach out. I have seen this courage in hundreds of people who have proven to be some of the strongest people I know. Simply by coming to this site, you've already shown that same strength and courage in yourself - even if you're not feeling it in yourself right now.

My therapy comes from a deep place of compassion for my clients. I am guided by an unconditional positive regard for my clients, free of any judgment. I respect the fact that we all come from different walks of life and may hold different values. Your values are no less important than my own and will be treated with respect. I will tailor therapy to what fits us best. I have experience with several treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and solution-focused therapy. These therapies are effective but I consider the most important part of treatment to be our relationship which will allow you a safe place to talk and sort through your thoughts and emotions.

As far as my experience, I am a Clinical Social Worker licensed in New York with 9 years of experience. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, attention-deficit, and trauma-related issues. I have worked with several populations including Families, Children, Teens, Young Adults, Single Parents, Veterans, Active Military, LGBTQ, as well as those with chronic illness, including HIV and Cancer.

If you're looking for some help, I'd be humbled to be a part of your journey.

He’s amazing, and exactly what I needed. He addresses anything you may express in a professional, unbiased way, but is caring and attentive, tailoring to your needs. He’s also really knowledgeable and I feel comfortable telling him things that I normally would feel uncomfortable talking about to anyone else. Since working with him I already feel like I’m improving with the issues I’ve wanted to work on.
