About me

Thank you for taking time to let me introduce myself. I have been in the counseling field for over 14 years. I have extensive experience with Addictions, Trauma, depression and anxiety along with supportive guidance for life changes and career growth. I have also had great success in treating chronic pain issues with EMDR. While this platform may not support traditional EMDR methods, We may be able to incorporate some of the principles of that therapy in our work together.

My counseling style is warm and conversational. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I'm not a fan of labels. My approach is client centered and solution focussed. I'm happy to help you explore limiting belief systems and to help you make healthy life choices for a more balanced and integrated experience based on your value system and needs. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to that purpose.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

I have tried BetterHelp before and unfortunately I could not find a therapist that worked for me. I wanted to give it one last try and that’s when I found Steven. He has been the best therapist for me and I have come so far since working with him over the last few months. He really understands, listens, and helps in a way that I haven’t found from other counselors and it really has saved me.

Steven is a very helpful and compassionate therapist. He listened well and helped me identify meaningful changes to make and small steps to take to improve my mental health. I highly recommend Steven to anyone who wants to work on establishing new life patterns and improve their response to and management of crisis, depression, and change.

working with Steven has really been a pleasure. He shows up to meet you exactly where you are at and brings with him empathy, a down to earth and relatable demeanour and non'judgemental support. He has recommended tools relevant to my situation and to my goals. He is super encouraging and creates a safe space to share. I highly recommend him!
