About me

I am a licensed professional counselor - supervisor (LPC-S) in the State of Texas. I have a bachelor of science (B.S.) degree in psychology, a master of science (M.S.) degree in psychology, and a doctor of education (Ed.D.) degree in educational leadership where my major course of study involved investigating methods used by colleges and universities to meet the needs of college student-athletes. I have approximately 28 years of counseling experience. My work with adults has focused on depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment issues, and many other life concerns. Although my counseling approach with adults basically involves customizing the sessions to meet the needs of the client, I find that I draw from cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, behavioral, and client-centered approaches the most. My goal is for you to no longer need me. This would mean that either our treatment goals have been achieved or at least the necessary tools are in place. Nevertheless, however long we need to work together as a team, I will be here for you. Let's get started!
