About me

I am a marriage and family therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor and have been actively working with individuals, couples and families for nearly six years. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as the backbone of my services, working with some DBT and CBITS modalities to deal with trauma and processing errors.
I have been married thirty six years and raised four children to adulthood. I currently have four grandchildren and live in the mountains of Idaho.
I enjoy engaging in the discussion of what makes us our best self and returning to what is my source of power, We discover together, how you can capitalize on that strength and use it to build or nourish crucial relationships. By reviewing processing deficits or thinking errors, we identify behaviors of emotions that are self-destructive or debilitating.
In couples and family therapy we work to find ways that we tend to sabotage ourselves, other relationships and inadvertently set ourselves up to fail. While doing this we identify the impact of such behavior and plan for how to change habits or eliminate negative tendencies.
Restoring joy to the heart and mind of those who have lost that spark or are finding it difficult to get past traumatic events or relationships, can bring a sense of hope and self-accomplishment that will energize themselves and others. With courage, commitment and effort, this can be done!
