I have been practicing in the counseling field for over 20 years. I am also, a husband of 31 years and have two young adult children. I mention those things first because as much as education and clinical training are important so is life experience. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board approved Clinical Supervisor. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from McMurry University in 1984. I worked at a Psych hospital as a case manager and then Hospital Unit Coordinator for over ten years before going back to school to earn a Master's in Family Psych in 1998 from (HSU). I have served on the state level with the Texas Counseling Association for many years. But, more importantly I do feel like this is what I was called to do. I chose becoming a Counselor because the Counseling field is based on helping individuals find wellness, relationally, emotionally and psychologically. I strongly believe that I am built and equipped to help families, couples and individuals do just that.

LPC #17066 (Expires: 2023-09-30)
Steven was empathetic and non-judgmental, and was great about working with my schedule. Very likable and had suggestions/homework to help work through anxiety and stress, which I found helpful!
I worked with Steve for a couple of months and he certainly helped me get through a rough patch. He listens, and sometimes that’s all you need. But he had good insights and suggestions as well. If come back to BH, It’ll be with Steve.
