About me

Hi, I'm Sue - a fully trained and experienced British therapist based in the UK. My specialisms are relationship issues, family conflicts, coping with grief and loss, depression and life changes.

I also have experience working with anxiety, abuse, trauma, workplace problems and parenting issues. I have previously worked for Cruse supporting clients with grief, and also MIND supporting clients with all kinds of mental health problems. I have also counselled in work-based settings and for the NHS .

My approach is to establish a solid therapeutic relationship whereby you can feel properly heard and understood with full acceptance and without judgement. Providing a warm, caring and empathetic environment can help you develop trust and be comfortable to share all the difficult challenges that may be causing you to seek help.

I am not here to tell you what to do, but rather to enable you to find your own unique answers and what is ultimately the right path for you. Everyone's story is different, and therefore I respond to each client as an individual.

Taking the first step in recognising that life is feeling difficult to cope with takes courage. I am here to support you in the process of exploring how things can change and hopefully lead to a more fulfilling and happier life.

If you are ready to take the next step, then I am here to support you on your journey.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you feel I would be a good fit for your needs.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Sue Cassidy. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I am so glad that I was matched with Sue - she's been amazing! I had never had therapy before, but I was really struggling with my mental health and knew I needed help and support. That's exactly what Sue provides. She's thoughtful, has great professional knowledge and insights, kind, and an exceptional listener (I'm often surprised at how much she has taken in and analysed especially when I ramble or don't speak in a logical order an jump from one subject point to another). I would definitely recommend Sue to anyone reaching out for support with their mental health, whether it be from a dark place mentally or perhaps you haven't had therapy in a while and feel you need a mental "top up".

I really respect the manner in which Sue conducts herself. She is very understanding, listens intently and offers a lot to think about.

Sue Cassidy has been my therapist for a few weeks now and we have weekly sessions. As a newbie to therapy i was nervous and wasn’t sure what to expect but Sue has helped reassure me and has listened to my concerns . It’s early days as we’ve only “met” a few time but our sessions are definitely helpful and i’m always keen to rebook.
