Sue De Santo

About Me

I graduated from Loyola University with a Master's Degree In Social Work. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience in a variety of settings and hold a Level 2 EFT practitioner certification with AAMET.
I have extensive experience working with women’s issues, anxiety and depression, substance abuse, grief counseling, relationship issues, divorce recovery and couples counseling.
When we strengthen the relationship with ourselves, the outer world becomes much more balanced and fulfilling.
I help my clients slow down and reconnect with our mind, body and spirit so they feel more confident to face life events with a more stable and hopeful core sense of self. I help clients achieve this through the use of insight oriented counseling, understanding life patterns and learning to reconnect to their bodies. I use a variety of methods such as creative visualization, breath work and Emotional Freedom Techniques, (EFT) which are based on the connection between your body’s subtle energies, your emotions and your health.

I look forward to working together!

Sue is wonderful, she provides a safe and caring environment that made me feel comfortable opening up from day one. She is empathetic, kind and I have found her counseling style to be so effective in helping me heal and move forward.

I have worked with Sue over the last few months, and I am extremely grateful for her support. Sue is patient, kind, and determined. I appreciate that she takes the time to ask me engaging and challenging questions, send relevant worksheets for me to reflect outside of our sessions, and explore different mindfulness techniques to explore my emotions and confidence. I have grown significantly through her guidance, and would recommend Sue to others looking to make life changes.

Sue has helped me better understand myself and my emotions and reactions towards situations. She has guided me towards developing better habits to deal with and respond to my emotions. She helps me look at things from a different perspective. I feel more confident in myself and my abilities from working with Sue. I always feel comfortable talking with her. She helps to bring light to situations that can come sometimes feel dark and she helps me find clarity. Thank you Sue!
