Welcome! It takes more strength and courage to pursue change than it does to remain in an unhealthy pattern or situation. I can offer a warm, supportive, safe, confidential environment conducive to growth and change.
I have a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in both Michigan and Indiana. I have many years of professional experience as well as personal experience with difficult situations, transitions, life stresses, and living in another country and culture. If you suffer from trauma, depression, anxiety, parenting issues, communication problems, chemical abuse, or grief, I can help. If you are looking for help with growth in relationships, learning more about yourself, staying present in the moment, transitioning to a new life phase, and generally flourishing in life, I am here for you. I believe the relationship between therapist and client is key in the success of therapy. I have a relational approach to psychotherapy and can tailor therapy and a treatment plan to your specific needs. Together we can look at unhelpful patterns in your life as well as work to heal the hurt life brings.
I would be honored to work with you through this very personal process.

My counselor Susan is amazing. She doesn't make me feel bad for not being consistent and the fact i will send a whole book at midnight on the weekend. She is very understanding and gives me tools to help me along the way. My life has gotten easier because of her help with my boundaries. Sometimes just knowing i have someone to talk to at any moment can help certain situations as well.

Susan is exceptional at what she does, helping people move forward with life in a positive direction. Susan has helped me recover from a divorce, address personal issues that impact me at work and all my relationships. I have been through many counselors in the past 30 years and I can say Susan is very rare. She is smart, compassionate, caring, kind and encouraging. I don't know how I would have made it this far in my recovery if it wasn't for her. 5 Star.

Truly listens and wants to understand my point of view. She is supportive and helpful, without being judgemental, when you've done things you aren't proud of and are trying to be better. She has opened my mind to many things I thought I was "over" but had really just been ignoring.

Susan is absolutely incredible. When I first signed up and was matched with her, I had a lot of emotional baggage to unload. Long emails every day for the first few days. She not only responded, but her responses were dead on, thought provoking, and validating. We had our first phone conversation last week and it was like talking to an old friend. She managed to lift years of stress off of my shoulders with solutions I never would have come to on my own. She is absolutely the blessing I needed when it felt like my life was falling apart.
