About me

I've been a counselor for over 20 years. I have helped many through broken hearts, troubled marriages, victims of trauma and Narcissistic abuse, and healing from toxic behaviors and patterns.

PLEASE NOTE- I work from 6am to 2pm M-F EST.

I have a no non-sense, straight-to-the-point style that helps people want to see immediate results that will save you time and money. I also have a good listening ear and compassion to help sort out your issues, so you can feel supported and guided to be the best you can be. So, if you are interested in a fast track approach, really wanting to break bad habits and patterns that are re-playing in your life, and you are really ready to work yourself and address your issues (can handle feedback and constructive criticism), then I would be a good therapist for you. Also, be prepared to receive weekly assignments outside of our session time to help accelerate your growth. In addition, I expect for you to check-in with me and for you to be honest. I'm very proactive in your healing and I guide you by setting goals and achieving them with you. We work together as a team on your journey.

Since I have been practicing for many years, I personally have ventured into studying spiritual practices to help others depression, anxiety, loss, grief, etc. I also can help you through inner child work wounding/trauma cords or known as "shadow work." As a result, I have studied meditation, shamanic practices, law of attraction, etc. and feel that connecting to a higher power and getting in-tune with your spiritual core can assist in many struggles we face. I believe by connecting with our spiritual side and understanding our life lessons, we shift ourselves into higher learning and healing; which begins from a core level by breaking repeated negative patterns we continue to face.

I have worked with Susan for a year now and I grately value her approach to therapy. It is not for those who aren't willing to truly committed to self growth and put in the work. I have spent hours outside of therapy doing 'homework' which on it's own has been therapeutic, but also helped reflect and remember things about my childhood, adolescence and development that I haven't thought about in years. All of those things have shaped who I am today and I have been able to understand more fully where my programming, habits, and insecurities have come from. I am proud of the growth I have had and even though I have put in the work to get where I am at, Susan has been a vital tool in helping me get here.

Susan is different from any therapist I have had before, her guided meditations are really helping me deal with the trauma from my childhood and an abusive relationship. Thank you Susan!

Susan is a professional and knowledgable therapist with lots of experience. In the time I have been working with her I have made significant progress in understanding myself and my responses to the world. She has been supportive and challenging throughout, always knowing the exact right amount of encouragement needed to get the most out of a session. i never feel that a session is wasted as we always make progress. She sets 'homework' which allows me to reflect and get the most out of each session.
