About me

I've been a counselor for over 20 years. I have helped many through broken hearts, troubled marriages, victims of trauma and Narcissistic abuse, and healing from toxic behaviors and patterns. I work from 6am to 2pm M-F EST.

I have a no non-sense, straight-to-the-point style that helps people want to see immediate results that will save you time and money. I also have a good listening ear and compassion to help sort out your issues, so you can feel supported and guided to be the best you can be. So, if you are interested in a fast track approach, really wanting to break bad habits and patterns that are re-playing in your life, and you are really ready to work yourself and address your issues (can handle feedback and constructive criticism), then I would be a good therapist for you. Also, be prepared to receive weekly assignments outside of our session time to help accelerate your growth. In addition, I expect for you to check-in with me and for you to be honest. I'm very proactive in your healing and I guide you by setting goals and achieving them with you. We work together as a team on your journey.

Since I have been practicing for many years, I personally have ventured into studying spiritual practices to help others depression, anxiety, loss, grief, etc. I also can help you through inner child work wounding/trauma cords or known as "shadow work." As a result, I have studied meditation, shamanic practices, law of attraction, etc. and feel that connecting to a higher power and getting in-tune with your spiritual core can assist in many struggles we face. I believe by connecting with our spiritual side and understanding our life lessons, we shift ourselves into higher learning and healing; which begins from a core level by breaking repeated negative patterns we continue to face.

Reviews

I was struggling to move on after my divorce. I was feeling stuck and scared to move forward in all aspects of my life when I finally made the decision to start therapy. I am so glad that I did and so grateful to have been paired with Susan on BetterHelp. Susan went deep with me in therapy to help me understand my programming and why I ended up in relationships and with partners that were toxic and incapable of giving me what I needed. As Susan says in her description, its not easy work that she does but it is worth it. She guides you as you dig into past trauma, family relationships and your negative self beliefs and it was incredible how much she helped me to uncover that needed to be addressed. And Susan is right there with you as you identify and do the work to reprogram yourself. I am so thankful to Susan because after 6 months of therapy I feel more empowered than I ever have before to build the life that I want. With what she taught me I will never again ignore red flags, settle for less or doubt my worthiness. I'm so appreciative of the work I did with Susan because now I'm going to this next chapter the healthiest and most prepared I've ever been in my life. I strongly recommend Susan to anyone ready and willing to do the hard work because she will get you to the other side in your healing journey.

I've only been with Susan for a few months and she has already made a significant difference in my mental state. As she states in her profile, she is a no nonsense, straight forward therapist. I love that! I find her approach so refreshing and it wastes no time getting down to the brass tax. I'm so grateful the system have matched me with her. I wish I can recommend her to everyone I know.

I joined Better Help not really trusting the process and definitely not expecting to find a therapist I connected with. I was pleasantly surprised with Susan. She related to me in ways we both weren’t expecting and I felt she cared for me and my outcome every step of the way. She is straightforward, which I appreciate, and makes YOU do the work. You are fixing and healing yourself with her guidance. I can honestly say I have changed for the better in just a few short months. Her methods work. She healed me in ways I really didn’t know needed healing. I will be forever grateful for her time and expertise. She is a blessing in this world and I wish everyone had access to her!! Thank you Susan!

Susie has changed my life! She’s the first therapist I’ve ever had or felt I could trust to help me work through my life’s difficulties. I couldn’t recommend her enough! I am so grateful that I found her through this service and will take all that I have learned with me for the rest of my life. Thank you for being so kind easy to talk to and make me laugh. The work was definitely hard but Susie made me feel at ease, willing to work on it as well as be open and honest.

I am so grateful to have Susan guiding me through this therapy process. She is the first therapist who I trust and feel comfortable with 100%. I have only been with her a few months but I can already feel myself leveling up. She responds to messages and is always there when I am going through something and need support. She is amazing and I feel so thankful to have been matched with her.
