I am an eclectic therapist. My focus with clients is relational. Each client is unique and requires an individual approach. Much of my training was psychdymanic. In our complex and anxiety provoking world, an approach of curiosity and empathic concern is required. Much of my work has been with clients who have been neglected, abused or traumatized. This may have been emotional, physical or sexual abuse. People who have been traumatized have struggled greatly. They often suffer with tremedous anxiety and depression. I have worked with individuals, couples and groups. I have a very flexible approach. My work has included work with many different populations. Frequently, I work with the LGBTQ community. Many transgender's have a very challenging life. I have worked with many as they go through the journey to be seen authenically.
I attended Miami University in Oxford Ohio, then finished my bachelors at Youngstown State University undergrad and graduated magna cum laude. I then attended and graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a masters in Clinical Social Work.
Additional areas of focus: Addictions, Family conflicts, Grief, Intimacy-related issues, Eating disorders, Sleeping disorders, Parenting issues, Anger management, Self esteem, Career difficulties, Bipolar disorder, Coping with life changes, Coaching, Compassion fatigue, ADHD, Blended Family Issues, Cancer, Caregiver Issues and Stress, Dependent Personality, Dissociation, Divorce and Separation, Emptiness, Gender Dysphoria, Guilt and Shame, Infidelity, Panic Disorder and Panic Attacks, Sexual Assault and Abuse, Sexuality, Somatization, Young Adult Issues
