About me

My name is Susan, and I have been in the counseling profession for 26 years. I have an MA in Counseling, am board certified by the NCC, have a Diplomate in Psychotherapy, and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Alabama.

I have worked with clients over a broad range of issues including, but not limited to, anxiety & depression, work related problems, parenting issues and PTSD. Because of my years of helping others, I feel positive that together, we can work to successfully resolve your issues.

I enjoy continuing education, and hold special certificates in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Trauma Therapy and am a Trauma & PTSD Hypnotherapist.

The counseling method I use most often is the Cognitive Behavioral approach. This is the idea that one's thoughts and perceptions influence behavior. Children, adolescents and adults can successfully benefit from this approach.

I value and respect each person as a unique human being, and I enjoy a warm, caring relationship with my clients. Helping and serving others fulfills my life's purpose.

I look forward to working with you!
