About me

I am a career changer from the business world. The impact of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and Pentagon caused me to change my outlook and goals for my own life. I realized that I wanted to help people so I went the next day to Fairfield University and enrolled in my first counseling classes.

I've been a practicing counselor for the past 15 years and I am passionate about my role in supporting clients to improve emotional comfort. I work with all age groups and provide family/marriage counseling as well. I use different therapeutic methods depending on a client's needs and goals. I find cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy effective for many clients. I am also a trained yoga teacher and a certified meditation trainer and mindfulness coach so I often incorporate breathing exercises, light mediation training and movement with traditional therapy.

Right now, times are challenging for many wondering: What's next? There has been a spike in anxiety, stress and depression because of the coronavirus and its impact on all we think of as "normal". We all need to process our feelings during this unique time and I'm here to help!
Through communication via distance counseling, I offer the warmth and understanding that is needed to develop a professional relationship with clients.

I look forward to working with you and am glad you found me!
