About me
Hi! I am so happy you have decided to begin your therapy journey with me. I've been practicing for 16 years providing direct services including individual and group therapy to children, adults and families with various challenges and stressors. A graduate of Temple University, I earned my Master’s in Social Work, Clinical Track. My professional time has been spent working with abused and neglected children including their families, children and adults identified with one or multiple disabilities, individuals who have experienced major life changes, individuals who have experienced trauma and helping to remove barriers to learning for children while bridging the gap between their home and school. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in working with individuals navigating high stress life events, anxiety, life transitions, depression, trauma as well as goal setting and completion.
I take a strengths-based, collaborative approach to therapy where you shift from focusing on your challenges to promoting and utilizing your innate capabilities. Practicing from a trauma-informed lens, I use a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you identify and revise unproductive thoughts, Solution-Focused Therapy to help you identify exceptions to your identified problems, Talk Therapy to encourage self-reflection as well as Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to facilitate and improve self-awareness. These approaches will give you the tools and strategies to feel more empowered, in control, balanced and productive. Your goals and progress is my top priority, this journey is all about you so my practice approach will always be guided by your unique needs.
I provide a supportive and safe space where you will be heard, can be yourself and walk in your truth. Each session will be tailored to your unique needs and goals. We’ll look at your unique situation while working together to create goals that are achievable and empower you to create sustained holistic wellness. Recognizing that life is ever changing, we will revisit your goals at various points identifying your successes as well as opportunities for growth. Clear, honest, open communication is a priority for me as it facilitates a supportive and safe environment that is free of judgement. Using active listening, you will be able to reflect on your experiences while I remain an empathetic partner in the process. If I am supporting you through something challenging, you can count on me to remain calm and patient. I look forward to working with you whenever and wherever you are ready to begin.
