About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 25 years of experience in behavioral health. As a therapist, I have helped adolescents and young adults with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, academic/work struggles, and other developmental concerns. I have advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I earned my Master’s Degree from the Indiana University School of Social Work and earned a graduate certificate degree in Mind, Brain, and Teaching from Johns Hopkins University. My therapy style is strengths-based, engaging, and very supportive. We all have potential to change, are resilient, and possess the ability to live the life we want to live.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking on a nature trail, digging in the garden, meditating on my deck, walking the dog, or being silly on stage at Whole World Improv Theatre as an apprentice cast member here in Atlanta!

Tamara is awesome
Tamara is an excellent and knowledgable therapist, who expresses genuine interest and empathy with her clients. I feel very comfortable talking to her, and she is always extremely warm and supportive! In addition, she is great at providing outside resources and information that have helped me to cope or to understand more about my thought processes. I have benefitted so much from working with her, and I highly recommend her!
