About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in New Mexico with three years of experience working with people making change in their life. I have worked with people challenged by depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, and life changing situations. My approach is solution focused, client centered, and strengths-based drawing heavily from Cognitive Behavioral Theory (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I have spent eight years working with children and families dealing with the trauma of removal from the home, reunification and adoption.
When working with clients I strive to make the therapy experience genuine, positive, respectful, and safe. I believe that you are the expert and manager of your story; you know your own strengths and weaknesses. I believe that we can work together to in a way that will assist you in doing great things and overcoming your current challenges. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy takes courage! I am excited to meet you as we work together to identify your goals and make plans to achieve them.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Tamara Letcher. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Two sessions in and I am excited for the third, fourth and so on. Very patient and understanding!
Very timely in responses, always on time for meetings, and very impressionable. Offers great advice and insight. Would highly recommend
The biggest thing I needed was someone to listen, and Mrs. letcher has done an amazing job at that. And I’ll never be able to think her enough for that
Since starting with Tamara I feel so much better.
Very easy to talk to and listens and understands issues, but isn't afraid to relax in the conversations either. I appreciate her insight and goals she has set for me so far.
She is the best
I am doing well after having a few sessions and am still employing things from our conversations. Still being intentional with daily journal etc.
Tamara Letcher has been helpful in listening to me during my difficult days and my good days. She also offers a different point of view when I haven’t thought of that way of looking at an issue.
Great counseling
Tamara has surprised me with real solutions I had not thought of. I feel stress relief because she confirmed some beliefs I had that I was unsure of.
Tamara has been wonderful in helping me work through both sensory challenges and gender dysphoria. She is consistent in her response times between live sessions. She checks in with me to see if I’m doing the things we discussed; which is important for me because I will definitely forget. When she doesn’t have an immediate suggestion, Tamara researches to find one and keeps looking until she finds one that works.
Ms. Tamara is wonderful and I highly recommend her. She's the best therapist I've had
Tamara has been very helpful in helping me pinpoint my areas of concern and providing guidance on how to work through them. She's patient and friendly and I feel that she truly understands my needs and has helped me understand my own needs. Tamara is a great match for me and I'm appreciative to have her as a counselor.
