Tamara Tarver, LMFT
About me
Hello! My name is Tamara Tarver. I am a Tennessee Licensed Marital and Family Therapist with over 20 years of professional work experience. I received my Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts Degree from Johnson University in Knoxville, TN. I received my Ed.D in Counselor Education and Supervision in 2020 from National Louis University. I love working with adults who struggle with addiction, depression, and grief whether it has been the loss of a child, parent, spouse, relationship, or anything of value and importance to find joy again. Over the years I have gleaned experience and success through treatment approaches that include Motivational Interviewing, Person Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, Family Systems, and Solution Focused. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Working together to tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs is a priority. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started! I look forward to our work together!
