Tisa Colvin is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. She received her Master of Science degree in Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University. She specializes in marriage and family therapy. She provides professional therapeutic services for individuals, couples, groups, and adults. She treated patients and clients with grief and loss, anger problems, depression, abuse (physical, emotional, verbal, and sexual abuse), and domestic violence. She has experience working in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, outpatient facilities for Partial Hospital Program (PHP) and Inpatient Outpatient Services (IOP), women substance abuse treatment programs, men substance abuse treatment programs, and a women's shelter who suffered from domestic violence. She is eclectic and design treatment plans specific for each individual client. Her methods of treatment include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. She believes each client is unique and have their own inner strengths and abilities. Therapy is a journey. She assists clients through his or her own therapeutic process to a healthy well-being.
