I received my degree in clinical mental health counseling in 2017 from Heidelberg University and became licensed in the same year. I have experience in working with a variety of ages and diagnosis, most commonly depression, anxiety, and posttraumatic stress disorder. I use a person centered approach in therapy that’s based on client need that includes skills from cognitive behavioral therapy, existential therapy, and solution focused therapy. I also have experience in anger management/emotional regulation education. My goal as a therapist is to help clients reduce symptoms, meet their individual wellness goals, and feel empowered in their own abilities to cope.
I am currently working part time, my working hours are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9-6.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Taylor Opfer. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
She has a POV that is working for me. She gives me great things to think about and do better.
Taylor is great and her enthusiasm is infectious. She listens well and she’s very involved in working with me. I appreciate how she helps me to question my own thinking while providing an alternative way to view things. I value her input and her expertise.
Taylor is an amazing therapist. She always makes me feel listened to, respected, and offers support no matter what. She has been instrumental in helping move on and build meaningful coping skills.
Taylor has completely restored my trust and faith in therapists and in therapy. It’s a shame that she wasn’t my very first experience with therapy. If she had been, I would have turned out to be a much happier, more well-adjusted and psychologically healthier person.
I’m extremely grateful to have Taylor as my therapist and I have made great strides in the short time that I’ve been working with her.
taylor is incredible - I am so thankful to have found her. She listens, she cares, she provides coping skills. She’s relaxed and I truly feel like she gets me. I know that she’s my therapist but she also feels like a friend And that matters to me. I’m only four weeks in with her but it feels like I’ve known her for a really long time. She makes me feel so comfortable during our sessions.
From day one, Taylor Opfer and I clicked, so kudos to Better Help's assignment system. I've tried therapy a couple of times before and got less than nothing out of it, but since I've been talking to Taylor, I've seen tremendous progress on my main goal and good progress on my lesser goals. I'm glad I took the chance, and it seems the third time's the charm.
I’ve only been doing this for about 2 weeks, however after the first conversation with Taylor Opfer I can honestly say I felt better, she made it very comfortable to just talk (I’m better at answering questions and she picked up on that right away I think). She responds to everything I send, even if it’s just confirming the understanding and we talk about it in our live sessions. I love that I can send messages at my convenience and don’t have to hold everything in until we meet again in the next week, it helps to just get stuff out and have it acknowledged. Taylor has made it very easy to open up and just talk, very kind but also gives little tips to help accomplish my goals (even though I’m not 100% sure what those are right now). This is my first time with any kind of therapy and I can honestly say, I would recommend this a thousand times over.
Taylor is wonderful! I look forward to speaking with her every week and always appreciate her insight.
Taylor is literally the best therapist I have had over the years. We are very new in my treatment but she gets how I flow and work. She doesn’t make me talk about one thing the entire session. She allows me to express myself in ways that are therapeutic to me and always gives good tools to practice with.
