I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with 10 years of experience working with clients. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communication from University of California, Davis, my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University, and my Doctorate of Psychology in Marriage and Family Therapy also from Alliant International University. I currently provide supervision to clinicians at a behavioral health agency in Gilbert, Arizona and treat clients on BetterHelp and their sister sites.
My approach in therapy is very collaborative and depends on your preferences and goals. I believe the most important factors for your success in therapy are the non-judgmental space I create and the strong therapeutic relationship we build based on safety and trust. I am very strengths-based in my approach and will work with you to identify your goals and the strengths you have to reach them. I utilize a number of techniques but am rooted in Family Systems Theory and draw strongly from Narrative Therapy, which is an approach that focuses on you, your story, and the power you have to write the ending you want for yourself! I believe that together we can really make a difference in your life.
I have experience working with children, teens, young adults, adults, couples, families, and parent-child dyads. I enjoy partnering with clients to work through symptoms of depression, anxiety, or trauma, as well as relational stress, career stress, parenting issues, and self-confidence or identity issues. I am also passionate about working with women going through life transitions including transitioning into adulthood, becoming a parent, career development, becoming married or experiencing divorce.
Thanks for reading and I look forward to getting to know you!

She’s a down to earth and really beautiful individual herself and I’m sure has helped many others like me. She understand the time to listen and the time to speak. I wouldn’t go to anyone else.
I’ll be honest I was a little skeptical about doing therapy today online versus in person. I was, also, afraid I would have to go through so many therapists until I found the right one since I couldn’t meet them in person... but Dr Cox Lance is wonderful. She is kind, compassionate, understanding, flexible, professional and truly wants to help people. She has only been my counselor for a couple weeks but I already love her and doubt I will need to switch counselors again. She has gone above and beyond and that’s rare to find. I highly highly recommend her.
I was skeptical of BetterHelp and therapy in general. After my first call with Dr. Cox Lance I knew I made the right choice. She was patient and listened to my problems. She helped me identify my goals and ways to change my perspective on problems and annoyances I faced. Strongly recommend.
