About Me

Hi there, my name is Tere Pamela Ortega but you can call me Pam! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor that has been providing counseling services for over four years in East Texas. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety and more. I specialize in helping individuals that have experienced any form of sexual abuse and/or abuse by an intimate partner.

My approach to counseling is led by believing that the client is the expert of their life so I will listen intently and ask questions to make sure I really understand you. I believe my role as your counselor is to support you, empower you, and to walk with you in your journey. My theoretical orientation is known as 'eclectic'. This means that I use many different counseling theories and interventions in my work with my clients. I believe each client is unique, with a unique case, and therefore deserves a unique plan to achieve their goals.

I’ve only had a couple of sessions with her and I absolutely love the work she does she makes me feel safe and listened to with out any judgement she explains things In a way that I can understand and be able to apply to my everyday life and reflect on it.
