You're here because you must have something going on in your life that needs to change. Perhaps you’re feeling sadness, frustration, overwhelmed, stressed, or angry. Or maybe you’re struggling with a challenging relationship, unhappy in your job/career, or you just don’t know what’s wrong. I am very passionate about helping people make positive changes in their lives, and I am dedicated to each of my clients.
About me: I am a clinical counselor licensed in Ohio with over seven years of experience working as a therapist. After 20 years in human resources for Fortune 500 firms and running a large small business, I decided to make a mid-life career change. Counseling seemed to be a significant next step because my passion is working with individuals and small teams.
I use theories like cognitive-behavioral therapy, attachment theory, and family and systems theories with many of my patients. I can adapt to the appropriate intervention as the situation dictates. I treat each client with respect and compassion and take a genuine interest in your life and the challenges you face.
It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!

Written on Jun 02, 2021 after therapy with Terri for 1 month on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, parenting issues, self esteem, coping with life changes, coaching, and compassion fatigue
I’ve been with Terri for over a year now. She is receptive to discussing what you feel is most important and needs addressed rather than rail roading you with what they think is the most pressing thing. She is down to earth, kind, and always helps to remind me that other people do feel the same things I do even when I’m feeling particularly isolated. She even went out of her way to set up a session with my parents and me which was incredible. Literally the only reason I would talk to somebody else would just be to get another perspective to bring back to Terry to unpack together. Incredible lady! Great glasses! 11/10 would recommend.

Written on Jun 08, 2020 after therapy with Terri for 8 months on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, intimacy-related issues, self esteem, and anger management
Terri is a thoughtful listener who takes the time to think not only about my words, but about what I'm trying to say (and sometimes what I'm trying not to say) in order to help me look at myself in a different way.
Since she's got experience in non-counceling positions, she's able to relate with situations in ways that someone who has always been a counselor might not be able to.
Written on Jun 05, 2020 after therapy with Terri for 1 month on issues concerning depression, relationship issues, intimacy-related issues, and self esteem
The guidance Terri has provided for me could be summarized into a quote by Marcel Proust I like to turn to - "We are healed of a suffering only by experiencing it to the full." She helped me pull me out from a very painful place in life and reminded me to seek the happiness within me and around me. Terri has helped me grow and develop into a person I can be proud of! She is always attentive and interactive through our sessions. I very much appreciated the approaches she used. She would intervene when necessary, and slowly let me take more charge and feel a little more in control as we progressed. I would most definitely recommend Terri as a counselor; And much more so as the friend she is to me.
