Terri McIntosh, LCSW
About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Addictions Counselor. I have been working in the clinical area for 7 years. My specialty is working primarily with adults, who are experiencing a wide range of concerns, regarding Depression, Anxiety, Relationship issues, problems in their careers, substances and other life stressors. I also have helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Solution-focused and at times Motivational interviewing.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating people with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I understand that taking this step is often challenging for most who have never taken these steps before. So I try to reduce the feelings and stigma often associated with those who seek mental health treatment.
It takes a great deal of courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!
