Hello! I want to share my love for helping those who struggle. My passion is counseling adults who are coping with depression, those who are grieving, adults working through life challenges, and aiding them in the emotional challenges that may follow. I have over 24 years of experience in these areas.
I understand depression from a personal and professional perspective, and I bring insight to the toll that depression takes on our relationships, careers, problem-solving, and choices. Sometimes, every medical and interpersonal intervention is necessary, over a period of time, to move clients to a place of stability; but the effort is worth it. Grief, on the other hand, is a natural response to a loved one's death, no matter the cause. By allowing grief to unfold, you allow healing. It can be easier to navigate with a supportive, non-judgmental professional at your side. Adjusting to transitions like a divorce, an empty nest, after graduating from college, to a marriage, or to a new baby can also be made easier with the support of a professional who can watch for things that may trip you up, and who will cheer you in times of success.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS) in North Carolina and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (CPC) in Nevada. I am interactive in my work with clients, and I enjoy interjecting humor in our sessions to keep us energized. I focus on helping you understand your experiences, and I believe there is great potential for growth that comes our way through challenges. Following the existential philosophy and borrowing techniques from Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Reality Therapy, I will coach, encourage, and challenge you to find the freedom you are seeking and to help you manage the anxieties of life in accordance with your values.

Terri Ray turned my life around! Before starting my therapy with her, I was depressed and hopeless. Terri Ray wasn’t just caring and attentive, but she guided me to better health with a lot of different tools. I really owe her my life - I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for her!
