About me

Thank you for beginning this journey towards your path to healing and self-discovery. The decision to seek therapeutic service can be overwhelming, therefore it is my goal to make therapy an inviting place where every single part of you is welcome, even the parts that may be uncomfortable to share. As your therapist, I will strive to create a non-judgmental environment where you feel accepted and safe to express your feelings and emotions. I understand that initially it can be difficult to talk to someone you don’t know; however, I would like to reassure you that this process is here to benefit you by providing an environment of encouragement and personal growth. I would like to share a little bit about myself and my role as your therapist. My name is Thais Harris and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida who earned my Bachelors degree in Psychology and Masters degree in Social Work. I have 7+ years of experience counseling those who struggle with interpersonal relationships, family conflict, life transitions, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and trauma. I have worked in various settings including in home counseling, social service agencies, treatment centers, and assisted living facilities providing both individual and family counseling. I believe in encouraging my clients to develop their personal strengths and inner resources, as well as assist them in obtaining their goals for the future. I utilize a client centered approach in therapy and implement a variety of therapy techniques to suit your needs. Whether this is you first time in therapy, or you have had previous experiences, your decision to make therapy a part of your life is an important one and I am looking forward to working with you.
Kind regards,
Thais Harris LCSW
