Emily McClure
Hi! My name is Emily. I recognize that talking about the issues which can deeply impact everyday life can be intimidating at times. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio. I am also a clinical supervisor and enjoy mentoring others. I have over 8 years of experience in multiple community settings providing therapy for individuals and families. I have experience working with clients who suffer from depression and anxiety, those who are experiencing stress in their lives due to change or traumatic events, and those experiencing relationship or career issues. I have a warm, flexible, and person-centered approach. I will seek to understand first and also support you in achieving your goals. I have an eclectic style and use a combination of motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, principles of dialectical behavioral therapy, and ACT. I am here to support you, to help generate solutions, and to provide feedback and encouragement. Small, positive changes add up and we will celebrate them! I also recognize the impact that trauma can have on individuals and family systems and provide treatment through a trauma-informed lens. I am a Christian and my faith plays an important role in my life. I am open to faith-based counseling if you choose and will respect your personal beliefs. It takes courage to reach out and seek help and I'm so grateful that you took that step. I am here to help you use the strengths you already have to make meaningful and practical shifts in both mindset and actions. I am so excited for us to begin working together. Please note that I am only licensed in Ohio and therefore am only able to provide services to clients who are residing in Ohio.

Anne Combs
I have been working in the behavior health field for 40 years as a therapist as well as a clinical supervisor and administrator in small and large behavioral health organizations. I was born in Kentucky and have lived in Cincinnati area for over 30 years. I went to graduate school in West Virginia and am fully licensed in Ohio. I am increasingly drawn back to doing more work directly with people, particularly those struggling with a relief from their day to day struggles and looking to find solutions to problems. I have experience with people experiencing career challenges and relationship issues all the way to people who have a severe mental illness. I love helping people find solutions to issues. I focus on the here and now and while I recognize and acknowledge the significant impact a past trauma may have on one’s life I like to focus on helping people find the way to deal with that impact in order to have a good life. I have a significant amount of experiencing helping people become more successful in their professional roles and can work with you on this if this is your need. My education and my many years of professional experience and my age has provided me with a perspective about people and how they communicate with each other that can be valuable. My style is friendly, warm, interactive and practical. I have a good sense of humor and, while its a little strange that I don't get many jokes, people often laugh at me for making jokes and for joking about myself. I believe that learning to communicate effectively as well as to laugh at ones' self are primary tools for healing. I use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). CBT usually involves efforts to adjust thinking patterns and or behaviors that can help you learn better ways of coping with life's full variety of stressors. SFBT focuses on a change model that takes on problems one at a time, sets a goal and accomplishes it quickly. I I also have a number of hours of training in Executive Coaching as well and this provided me with a slightly different perspective on therapy that is slanted toward a problem solving model.

Most of my experience is working with clients in a community mental health setting. I work with people of all backgrounds and walks of life. I feel that everyone knows something that I don't, and I find that this line of work helps me to learn more about the world we all live in. I meet all clients where they are, so my modalities of treatment tend to change from person to person. My typical modalities are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally-Focused therapy, Mindfulness-Based CBT, Positive Therapy, Solution-Focused (Brief) Therapy, and Person-Centered therapy. I also tend to take a holistic approach to therapy, realizing that you will feel your best when you are healthy mentally, emotionally, and physically. You should be proud of yourself for being brave enough to take this first step in improving your overall well-being! I am proud of you already! I cannot wait to meet you, and I hope to support you along the way in meeting your goals. All my appointments are first come, first serve unless you specifically request a consistent therapy schedule.
