Dear Reader, my name is Theresa and I live in Swansea which is in South Wales, UK. I am qualified as an Integrative Counsellor which means that I am able to adapt my approach to suit your needs and preferences as I understand the importance in understanding our individual and uniqueness is how we are able to make changes that work best for ourselves.
I have been working as a counsellor for almost 4 years, having qualified in 2018. My counselling student hours were completed at a Mental Health Charity named MIND and whilst there I gained an immense amount of learning, understanding and knowledge working with many clients that came into the charity with different problems needing my help to work though with them.
Over the last 4 years I feel that my working methods comes from my compassion and kind nature and understanding of how at times in our lives having someone to talk to; who listens without judgement; hears without interrupting and offers a safe and secure place for you to feel able to talk though problems is of a great importance in building a strong therapeutic relationship. Based on my initial person centred approach, I believe that during sessions I will enable your self belief, trust, confidence and personal growth expand into positive changes.
I use a variety of evidenced-based tools and techniques that will support you to understanding the issues impacting your life today, and more importantly help you get to live your life the way you want and deserve.
