Welcome and congratulations in taking the first step to attaining your goals. My name is Theresa Weise and I have been a mental health and substance abuse counselor for over 10 years. My current role is working with college students, but I also have worked in the community with individuals from ages 14-75. My counseling theory is that each person is the best expert of their life, but sometimes life disconnects us from that. That is where I can come in to assist you in reconnecting to that knowledge. In my practice I have assisted individuals struggling with: depression, anxiety, trauma, LGBTQ concerns, self confidence and overall life satisfaction. The counseling modalities I most frequently use are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Client Centered.
I have a very relational approach and utilize mindfulness to assist in gaining peace and tapping into ones own intuition.
I look forward in assisting you in making the smallest or greatest changes in your life to reach your dreams.

Theresa has been so helpful with multiple aspects of my life! She is very kind & supportive while giving great advice! She helped me a lot with family issues, substance, and anxiety and I never felt judged while explaining my stories. Should I need anyone to talk to again I will be seeing her!
Really kind, and easy to talk to. Listens and provides a lot of great insight and positive feedback. Has been wonderful making a safe space where I dont feel judged or like I'm burdening someone. Ive much appreciated working with Theresa <3
Theresa genuinely helped me out with some personal problems I had been struggling with for a long time, as well as, some issues with my girlfriend, which were starting to pop up somewhat regularly. I felt that Theresa did a fantastic job listening to what I had to say, and was very understanding, compassionate and ready to give insightful advice and solutions. She also made me feel comfortable right from the get go, which was something I was concerned with going into therapy since it had been many years since I shared some of my inner feelings with anyone. All in all, I could write more, but I’ll just get to the point and say that Theresa knows her stuff, and she effectively resolved my issues and since speaking with her for a few weeks in a row I feel my mental health is stronger, I’ve found new ways to think and approach difficult situations when they arise, and my relationship with my soon to be wife has grown stronger. Thank you, Theresa.
Theresa is absolutely amazing. I’ve seen many counselors and she is by far the best. I would recommend her to everyone. She’s very kind, has a sense of humor and is a very good listener.
