About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in North Carolina with over 44 years of experience in community mental health, employee assistance, private practice and school-based counseling. I have worked with clients with a wide variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, stress and coping, relationship issues, parenting problems and career or work/life challenges.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach allows me to meet you where you are in your personal journey. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. We may use cognitive behavioral therapy, Gottman method couples counseling, mindfulness-based stress reduction, Triple P parenting or other person-centered approaches that we agree are best to meet those needs.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

I've enjoyed my sessions with Thomas; he's expertise has been great and he presents and alternative point of view that I very much needed; with his help I am better able to manager my life's issues and tackle the problems that come my way; I was also able to put away my past demons and better look forward to my future. He is a therapist that I would return to and would recommend.

Thomas Warren is a fantastic counselor. He truly listens to everything I say. He always responds in a timely manner and lets me know if he won’t be able to respond until later. He’s kind, compassionate, extremely qualified and knowledgeable but most importantly, really cares.
