Tia Nix, LCSW
About me
I am a compassionate alumni of UIC, where I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology and graduate degree in Mental Health Social Work. I am currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and state board certified through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. My experience working with clients with severe mental illness has been associated mainly with depression and anxiety, but I am familiar with and have worked with clients dealing with a variety of issues. While working in various diverse settings I have gained experience and reach my clients best through various therapeutic approaches, including but not limited to: CBT, strength-based and client-centered therapy. I strive to go above and beyond to help my clients be the best "them," and understands that no two clients are the same. It is not about how you start your beginning, but more about how you end it! I truly look forward to working with you in the future and I am happy that you reached out.
