Tiffany Alfred

(LPC, LMFT)

About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been practicing for about eight years. I started my career working with teens and families and conducting parent groups. I have been working as a special education counselor for grades K-12 for a little more than seven years. I also have experience counseling in a community counseling setting as well as mental health hospital setting. I have worked with issues that include but are not limited to depression, ADHD, Autism spectrum disorders, anxiety and self-esteem.

I have a friendly and honest counseling style. I believe the most important aspect of the therapeutic relationship is trust. I believe counseling works best when the client has trust in the therapist and is willing and ready for change. I blend a cognitive-behavioral and solution focused approach in my counseling sessions. With families, I have a more systemic and family-of-origin approach to therapy.

Taking the step to research and seek out a therapist is a very courageous one. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you on this journey to self discovery and change.
