About me

A step, a shift, a grasp at hope; that's what you have just done. There is light around the corner, sometimes just having someone to remind you of that is just what you need to get there. Life is challenging and often takes unexpected undesired turns. You are not alone. Thank you for seeking me out to help you walk this road. I love walking with people to get to where they need to be. There is hope.

My name is Tiffany Fontenot, and I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 15 years. My experience is broad and unique. I've worked with anxiety, depression, grief and loss as well as family therapy and attachment disorders related specifically to adoption. Traveling extensively has given me the opportunity to work alot with adjustment stress and life transitions.

I believe that each person is unique with their own story to tell, experiences, and personality. Therefore, it is important to meet each person where they are at in counseling. Not everyone needs the same approach in how they will move forward in this journey and I believe it is essential to develop a counseling experience that meet the exact needs of the individual. Typically my approach is Person-Centered with aspects of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Theory) and DBT (Dialetic Behavioral Theory). Utilizing a Solution Focused approach sometimes is what a person needs too. I also have seen Attachment Theory and Trust Based Relational Intervention be effective for others. Working together with my client to find just the approach they need is important in their growth, healing and reaching their desires.

I can't wait to hear your story and begin walking together on this journey of healing. Please feel free to message me anytime through Better Help. I understand that seeking help and support needs needs a quick response and I want you to know I'm available and will respond promptly. I offer messaging, live chat, video, and phone sessions . Please note that what you see in my calendar may not reflect my only availability as I try to be flexible as needed week to week.

Tiffany is an understanding, patient, kind therapist. She's allowed me to explore things that I've felt unsafe dealing with before, and when I've tried I've felt unheard. She listens and digests what you say, keeping it in the back of her mind for relevancy later in your sessions. She is honest, but with tact so that it isn't aggressive or demeaning. She is the only therapist I've seen for this long & I'm really thankful I was paired with her! She has been such a great help in me feeling an actual sense of personal growth!

Tiffany was very helpful to me. Easy to talk to. Listens well and adjusts her approach depending on the discussion.
She was also very prompt to sessions and available quickly with email communication. She was also pro-active in reaching out to me regularly.
I recommend Tiffany.
