Hello there! My name is Tiffany Ng and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. I have had the unique privilege of working with very diverse demographics over the last eight years as a court mandated therapist and a clinician for a full service wraparound program. I have worked with children, teenagers, young adults, families, couples, adult individuals, small groups, and groups as large as twenty. My experiences in the court mandated sector have included extensive work in batterer's intervention, juvenile delinquency, drug and/or alcohol abuse, child abuse education, sexual abuse awareness, co-parenting, post incarceration life, domestic violence victim support, and anger management. As a clinician for a full service wraparound program, I worked with children and transitional aged youth with severe mental illness and severe emotional distress in collaboration with their family members in order to build up home and familial support en route to increased wellness. In private practice, I have worked with individuals, couples, and families of varying cultural backgrounds for reasons ranging from communication and conflict resolution to clinical depression and complex grief.
My approach to the therapeutic process is informed by Bowenian Family Systems, which fluidly melds with many other models as needed and appropriate. I work very hard to maintain an environment of transparency and openness in the professional relationship whilst sustaining warmth and compassion in order to cultivate awareness and empowerment. In that spirit of transparency and openness, I must admit that therapy can and will require a great deal of work. Change, no matter how positive, may include moments of discomfort but I assure you, I will be there alongside you in the process.
