About me
Lets face it, mental health has been stigmatized within societies for many generations. This will inevitably make seeking treatment, and committing to the process furthermore difficult. This is why I believe in the importance of fostering a supportive, and therapeutic relationship with my clients in order to assist with normalizing their decision to take care of their entire being. With the care that I provide, I operate within a relational framework, I recognize and put in practice the importance of multicultural competency, and I collaborate with my client to form an appropriate treatment plan that aligns with what my client verbalizes as being a need.
In regards to experience, I obtained my Masters degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Within this program, I worked with military-connected children and families, at-risk youth, and multiple behavioral and emotional concerns including, depression, anxiety, social skills, bullying, parenting issues, and abuse. After obtaining full licensure, I began serving individuals that have experienced any form of crime and abuse (trauma/complex trauma), anxiety-related disorders, depression, LGBT+ concerns, grief/loss, self-harm, addiction, relational issues, and familial issues.
Committing to counseling, and everything involved within the process is difficult. I hope to be able to collaborate with you to assist you with attaining your ideal self.
