My name is Tiffany and I have been a therapist for the past two decades (post-licensure 3 years). I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in Washington. Additionally, I hold a master’s level certification in substance abuse counseling. My previous jobs include providing therapy for children, adolescents, adults and older adults. My specialties include depression, anxiety, anger issues, substance abuse, work stressors, relationship issues, parenting, and caregiver fatigue.
I have been told that I have a very calming, non-judgmental presence in therapy. Those who work with me know that I am always genuine and honest in my interactions. Being a therapist means that I am fortunate enough to walk with you through vulnerable moments. We will discuss issues that are impacting your life, and work on finding solutions or acceptance. Each person has different needs and it is my job to find a therapeutic orientation that is comfortable and effective for you. Typically, my theoretical orientation is eclectic, meaning, I utilize several methods concurrently. I have found Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to be the most helpful method as it allows you to see and feel quicker results. I have also been trained in Mindfulness (DBT), Solution-Based Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy.
Over the years I have learned that although we differ in our life stories, the human condition is universal and we all have moments of happiness, sadness, pain, doubt and insecurity. These emotions are what allow us to have empathy for each other. When these feelings start impacting your day to day life, it’s time to get help.
