I am a counseling psychologist licensed in Florida and North Carolina with 10 years of experience working as a psychologist with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, identity development, career difficulties, and adjustment/life transitions (just to name a few). Inherent in my work as a psychologist is an emphasis on holistic approaches that honor the interconnectedness of the mind, body and spirit so to promote an empowered sense of wellbeing and life satisfaction. I understand and respect the many facets of diversity in the human experience and work in support of these for the greater good of the client and societal wellness. My approach is guided by the clinical nature of the concerns, which can in turn be collaborative, consultative and/or directive; hence I tailor our treatment to meet the unique and specific needs of the individual. I rely on relational theories combined with cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, developmental and strengths based. My style is a relational one that is interactive and inviting of non-judgmental curiosity so to achieve understanding, honor the change process and seek self-acceptance. I aim to help clients discover personal meaning, develop life skills, build resiliency, as well as promote self care and wellness. At the core are compassion, affirmation, exploration, and trust that help reshape emotional experience, understanding, and behavior.
