I am a marriage and family therapist licensed in California, and I have over 7 years of experience as a psychotherapist. Over the years I have been trained in many evidence-based therapy modalities that help me to be effective in treating depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, and anger management. I also helped many people who have experienced trauma with a technique called Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
I believe in empowering an individual's autonomy, meaning that the client is responsible and capable in making their own decisions. I treat client's with respect and equip them to meet life's challenges. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, narrative, solution-focused, and psychodynamic counseling depending on the client's needs.
I can also provide Christian, biblically-rooted counseling to those who want therapy from this perspective. I will offer judgment-free therapy, especially for those often "taboo" topics (i.e. sexuality, pornography, ministry burnout, marital problems, pressure to be perfect). I will empower you to reach your own conclusions, while being full of "truth and grace."
I believe the role of a therapist is to equip you, and then "work myself out of a job." That means I believe you have the power to reach your goals and find positive support!
I look forward to working with you!

Tim Crosby did an excellent job providing counseling services. I felt as though he was supportive of what I was going through and offered objective advice. More importantly, he empowered me to create change while not minimizing the experiences I shared. I would recommend him to others in a heart beat. Great job!
Tim is really good. Topnotch. He helped improve the quality of my life.
Tim is amazing - the best counselor. He is empathetic, non-judgmental, authentic and most of all EFFECTIVE in helping one cope with issues.
Tim has been exceptional for me. I've improved so much and I'm able to cope so much better. I will be forever grateful to Tim for all of his help. He has given me several tools to help me with my PTSD and has helped me expand and better my existing support group.
Having therapy with Tim Crosby for almost a month has been really helpful especially with my depression and anxiety and the most toughest situations in my life that I never though I'd go through. Tim is a really good listener and has helped me think my decisions in life and it has truly helped with my depression and anxiety. I would highly recommend Tim Crosby! You wouldn't be disappointed.
Words can't describe how helpful Tim Crosby was for me. Having him as a couselor was literally life-changing.
Tim is a great sounding board. He provided me with tools that were most helpful in my intimate and close relationships. Being able to work through written and verbal communication was key. He was able to help me dissect situations, pull back and see what was happening from a different perspective. I could then react in more beneficial way.
Amazing therapist! Really helped me out when I needed it the most. I would highly recommend!
Tim has been sensitive and insightful. I really appreciate the practical exercises he gives me that helps me figure out how I can change my own patterns. For the first time in my experience with therapists, I feel like I am growing, not just venting. Highly recommend!
