Timothy Crumley

About Me

I am a psychotherapist and licensed mental health counselor specializing in substance use-related issues, as well as gender and sexuality development and issues related to general anxiety and depression. I am a Rogerian and Client-Centered therapist and one of my core beliefs is that most distress is related to living a life that may not be yours. One of the main goals of therapy is to identify your path and true goals, and begin taking steps toward your ideal self.

In addition to BetterHelp, I manage an online practice with other counselors that provides messaging, phone, and video sessions as well as in-person sessions. These sessions and services are fee for service (not a subscription). If you are interested, we can be reached at: 518-350-7286 (call or text), or at intake@timothycrumley.com.

Tim is warm, empathic, and helpful. I always come away from our sessions feeling better integrated, more understood, and better equipped to handle my troubles. He is flexible about goals, style of therapy, mode of communication (is very good on phone as well as video and promptly responds to messages), and in general is easy to engage and work with. I really value the work we've done so far, and I'm excited to see where we get to.

Timothy is a great counselor. He always returned my messages, calls , and time. He is very compassionate , smart and caring. Many doctors in the past never give me good tools. In the short time he helped me I gained some new coping skills. Thank you

It has been great working with Timothy. He helped me get through an emotional episode I had with my friends, validated my feelings, reassured that it was completely reasonable of my expectation when I thought it was not my place to demand those expectation.
