About me

Hi, my name is Toni Hassed. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), who believes that people have the capacity to heal from the inside – out. I consider the counseling profession a vocation that requires a responsible therapist to compassionately walk with those on their journey from pain to healing.

I want to thank you for reaching out to for emotional support. That takes real courage especially when you’re hurting. Life can really throw us curves even when we think we’re doing everything right. My belief is that HOPE is the greatest gift a therapist can give their clients who are experiencing the emotional pain of life’s circumstances.

I have experience in counseling adults in group and individual settings, both military and civilian couples and children of the military. Having worked with clients who have suffered sexual abuse, victims of domestic violence, Postpartum depression, parenting issues, the angst of adolescence, empty-nesting and beyond to elderly issues. I have also worked with “Baby Boomer” issues including depression and finding meaning in the later years. I tend to consider myself as a life-coach/therapist as I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness Cognitive Therapy to discuss concerns, develop priorities and work together to accomplish your goals.

I work in a calm, peaceful, focused, inspiring, challenging, and sometimes humorous environment. I believe that it is my place to walk alongside my clients as a helper for those who are in emotional pain. Yet I cannot take away hurt, as there is meaning and value even in pain. My place is to support, encourage, teach and challenge clients as they struggle to find that sense and significance. With time, self-awareness and education…feelings, thoughts, behavior and perceptions can change.

I believe that creating a better life takes courage, awareness and insight. For all the wisdom we need is already there within each of us. My warm, compassionate approach to therapy has guided many individuals, couples and families through challenging life transitions and personal awakenings. And though we all experience emotional pain at times, we can choose not to allow it to dictate our lives and relationships.

I look forward to hearing from you, and to assist you on your journey to wholeness.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Toni Hassed. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I really enjoyed working with Toni! We only had one session but I truly felt heard, seen and supported. She sent me tools on the first day to help with my anxiety and gave me homework to follow up with her on our second session. I'm sad that she's no longer serving clients after 12/22 but I'm sure greater is in store for her wherever she goes!
