About me

I have spent the last twenty years working with individuals and families dealing with a variety of complex issues. I believe in a balanced approach to therapy, treating the underlying issues while also creating healthy habits and effective coping skills, I want to help clients build off of their strengths, interests and passions in order to find happiness and fulfillment. I am trained in EMDR and DBT and the balance of both can be very helpful in healing past traumas and developing present and future skills. Lastly I believe that most of our pain comes from our own thoughts. We an have painful life experiences but it is what we tell ourselves, what we think these things mean about us and how worthy of love we are that creates ongoing problems. So the answer, the healing comes from recognizing and challenging those thinking errors and accepting the reality of our experience and all the emotions that come along with it.
