Tonya had given me great guidance in how to maintain positive habits and improve ways in processing my thoughts and feelings. CBT is now no longer a psychology jargon to me but a workable technique that I understand and use. She gave me very helpful tips around how to actually apply mindful techniques, especially on how to be more self-aware of the trigger points to our irrational thoughts and understanding how it affects our emotions and behaviours on a day to day basis. After each session, I felt the sense of relief acknowledging that there are ways to cope and handle the negativity that I had experienced from the result of my own thinking patterns and judgement. For my treatment, Tonya focused more on the present onwards. Her approach is forward thinking rather than focusing on things we can no longer change in our past. She taps into the ways we can change our habits for the better through self initiated actions and having full accountability of the results based on the work we put in, I think this is especially effective for those with addictive tendencies who are willing to go through the hurdles and work towards bettering themselves. I highly recommend working with Tonya.
