About me

I am a licensed therapist in the Metro Detroit, Michigan area. I have worked within the field now for 23 years. I specialize in the areas of Eating Disorders, Grief and Loss, ADD/ADHD issues, and Bullying, but this is by no stretch-all that I have treated over the years. I have worked with individuals of all ages, and have worked in a wide array of capacities. I am presently working on the completion of my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, with a focus on the treatment of eating disorders in males.
I am known for being both a Solution Focused, and Clinical Behavioral therapist. I offer a combination of a warm approach, along with the goal of working towards solutions to the challenges that the individual is facing, and in helping him/her change the way that they may be thinking about something, that is preventing them from becoming happier and healthier.
In short, what you can expect from me, is not just the therapist that listens-but the therapist that takes action, and works very hard to help you direct attention towards achieving the goals that you set for yourself.
A little about me: I am an avid cyclist, skier, have 2 cats (my fur babies!) and my husband and I love to travel whenever we can.
It takes a tremendous amount of courage to take this step, and I applaud you for your efforts. I look forward to hearing from you!

I appreciate her advice and she gives you something to think about. Which is good in counseling. You need to feel you are the guiding force in your therapy.

Tricia has been very helpful in my journey to figure out what exactly I'm dealing with. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking support for depression and anxiety. She gave me homework to do that gave me a remarkable sense of self awareness. This site offers the best options for availability you could ask for.

She has been very helpful with me. I was at one of the lowest points in my life when I came to her, but since talking to her I actually feel like there's hope again.

Working with Tricia has been a remarkable experience, a sentinel in her profession, she proves, through action- that she truly cares about your personal progress and success. When I came to her I was depressed, had lost sight of myself, and had no structure- but she has helped me build up a strong trellis of good practices, so that I can grow mentally and emotionally without getting stuck in the vehement tangle of my more negative feelings. I thank her immensely for her challenges and guidance. In so many ways she's helped me, by giving me the tools to help myself.

+ She's a joy to talk to. Again, thank you so much.

I have only worked with Tricia for a few weeks. She has been a great listener and is prompt at responding. Thank you for all you do. And thank you for your patience.
