Dr. Trisha Contarino

About Me

I am a licensed Clinical and Forensic Psychologist with 7 years of experience helping individuals with life changes and mental heath related issues. I believe that finding a therapist can be quite overwhelming and it takes courage to take steps towards change. In psychotherapy, I provide a safe, neutral and supportive space to facilitate growth and empowerment. My goal is to help clients develop effective coping skills and insight to life’s challenges. I individualize my treatment for each specific client and often utilize a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help re-frame negative thinking patterns that are often the source of our emotional distress. I also rely on solution focused strategies to help create attainable goals. My specialties include: depression, anxiety, substance abuse disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, navigating major life transitions, relationship issues, and supporting other medical providers. Through collaboration we can implement healthy changes to enable you to thrive in your day-to-day. If you are ready to take that step I am here to help you reach your true potential. I look forward to working with you!
