Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself to you and tell you about what you can expect if you choose to partner with me. My name is Trishonna Salomon. I am a New York Licensed Clinical Social Worker; who has been in the field of mental health for approximately twenty-three years. I graduated from John Jay College, with a BA in Forensic Psychology and minors in Women's Studies, African American Studies as well as Anthropology and Sociology. I also received my Masters in Social Work, from Hunter College.
I mention all this above, to simply say, I am very committed to working with diverse individuals, seeking to understand how to make dynamic and sometimes frightening steps toward a better quality of life , no matter who you are, where you come from or your personal identification, socio-economic status . As human beings we all experience barriers and bumps in the road. But, what I believe to be true is that we all have four basic desires: to be loved, accepted, secure and content/happy. Let me help you identify, discuss and problem solve with you at your own pace without judgement or shame. The fact that you are here is courageous and applause worthy! You deserve that recognition of bravery.
My personal style is empathetic, humorous, raw, trusting, compassionate, candid, honest, curious, vibrant, accountable and open. I have a multitude of experience working in varying mental health settings. I want to meet you where you are and build and support your ability to cope with life's temporary and sometimes not so temporary road blocks.

A truly warm, comforting presence that makes me feel comfortable sharing even uncomfortable truths. Cannot recommend enough.
Trishonna is a good fit for me. She listens, considers what i've told her and provides feedback and suggests tools that could work for me. I feel she really takes in all the information and listens with intention. She is very responsive to emails and is fully present during video sessions. She asks questions that get me to think not just in the session but beyond, to me that indicates she understands and is guiding me to my own growth. I feel she's genuine, kind and has a calming energy to her.

My personal experience with Trishonna Salomon has been excellent. I feel that she has a warm and comforting approach. She is also able to read my emotional state and adapt her responses accordingly. I personally appreciate the ongoing effort she puts in to check in on me, as I have indicated how much I appreciate that. Trishonna has offered other methods of communication (besides sending messages) without any pressure to follow. I always look forward to her thought provoking questions. Trishonna provides a space where I can share all my scattered thoughts without judgment. When I chat with Trishonna, I feel like I can be myself. I think that is very important.
Trishonna has been lovely. Very friendly, funny, understanding and a great listener. Has helped me understand myself better. Anyone would be lucky to have her as their therapist.
