About Me

I realize that many people may be having a major spike in anxiety related to the current worldwide condition. If you are having issues with anxiety, please contact me. Anxiety and the other conditions that can arise from anxiety is one of the areas that I have a great deal of knowledge and experience in counseling. I believe that I would be able to help you by just giving you someone to talk to and also giving you ways to decrease your anxiety. Please contact me if you are having problems dealing with the mental health issues caused by this unprecedented worldwide situation. I am here to help. Please don't suffer needlessly. Help is just a contact away.

I believe that life is a journey and that sometimes on that journey, we get lost and confused or we come up against obstacles that we have trouble getting around or we get entangled in traps and need help to get free.. We can also have things happen to us that are difficult if not almost impossible to deal with alone. Then we need a guide. Someone to accompany you on the journey who can help you find your way or help you get around the obstacles or be released from the trap that has entangled you. Someone who has studied and can teach or suggest methods that you can try to get you unstuck and help you find your way back to a meaningful, fulfilling and productive life.

I would like help you find your way back to a meaningful, productive and fulfilling life. My purpose is to walk beside you, listen to your story and your concerns and then to draw from the education I have received and from what those wiser than me have taught me and my own personal life experiences on this journey to help you on your journey.

Some of the issues I specialize in are counseling for drug and alcohol addiction and the underlying causes of addiction, depression, anxiety, anger management and abuse and trauma or any other things that are making your life journey difficult. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy because it gives you “tools” to use to be successful in overcoming challenges and dealing with what we encounter on our journey but I am somewhat eclectic in that I will recommend using whatever I believe will work best for you personally. (Some of the other therapies I use are Client Centered Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.) I have 10 years of experience working as a Licensed Professional Counselor.

I believe that when you come to counseling, you come with the hope that you will get help, but it is also up to you to do the work required to recover. I will work with you to help you recover. I hope to hear from you soon so that I can help you on your journey.

Trudy has been so helpful and encouraging! She listens and asks the right questions to get me to really think about the actual issues I’m dealing with. I would recommend her and this program to everyone and I have been!

Trudy is amazing! She listens and recalls everything we’ve talked about in previous sessions, and is incredibly supportive and responsive. Trudy understands me and makes things easy to relate to. I truly enjoy our time together.
