Valerie Neck, LCSW
About me
Greetings to you! My name is Valerie and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Oregon. Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked in a variety of social service settings with diverse populations—community behavioral health, adults with traumatic brain injuries (TBI), veterans, caregivers, and their families, outpatient family medicine, and end-of-life care. I graduated with my Masters in Social Work in 2011, and completed my clinical licensure in 2014.
Loss, change, and transition are everywhere, especially during these times. I specialize in working with others to develop the skills to navigate the inevitable stressors of life in ways that can best support mental, emotional, and physical wellness. At the root of it all: the desire to live well. I’m committed to bringing my skills to partner with you to target what 'living well' means for you. We will use a strengths-based approach, identifying the ways in which you are already managing life’s challenges, and then targeting
the areas in which you’d like to build more resilience.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I hold non-judgment, respectfulness, and compassion as foundational values. I utilize a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques.
It takes courage to reach out for support. If you're ready, I'm here to walk alongside and empower you. I look forward to our journey!
