Hi! If you have arrived here it might be because you are looking for a bit of extra support in your life. I would like to first applaud you as this is not always easy. I have been there before myself and I understand how difficult it may be to first seek out support and how tricky it is to find the right therapist. I would like to tell you a bit more about myself and how I can support you.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in south Florida and I am driven and passionate about helping others. I studied this field because I always felt that my purpose was to help others realize their potential and help them improve their lives. I have experience working with a wide range of different populations- from cancer patients coping with end of life to facilitating psychoeducational groups to individuals with developmental disabilities. I am an advocate for equal rights and am very passionate about this as well. I have had several wonderful volunteer opportunities which has expanded my experience and have solidified my love for helping others even more. Some of these include working with women in the prison system and utilizing a strengths based approach to help them reach their goals of establishing a business plan as part of the Ladies Empowerment in Action program. I have also participated in the annual Pride parade in Miami Beach, FL. I have also had the honor of volunteering as a guardian ad litem where I have advocated for the best interest of children who are part of the dependency system. Last year I created and facilitated a support group for adults that were raised by narcissists. This allowed me to meet others and help support them by exploring the topic and identifying materials/practices that can be used on a daily basis to aid the road to recovery.
When working with my clients, I use a collaborative approach- as I believe each person is the expert on their own lives. I treat each person with dignity and respect and I always start where the client is. My goal is to build rapport with the client and have them feel comfortable with me so we can work together on the aspects of their life they would like to address. I have experience in providing CBT, empowerment based approach, crisis intervention, task centered practice. I don’t just stick to one specific type of model or intervention- rather, I tailor every aspect of therapy to fit and address your specific needs. I ensure that my clients leave our sessions with concrete tools they can utilize in their daily lives to address the concerns they have. Talking and sharing is an important aspect of therapy, but I believe it is also important to leave you with these tools so we can work together and help you reach your goals.
I look forward to working with you!

Really amazing and understanding, has helped me calm anxiety through different grounding techniques.
Vanessa is so sweet and amazing. She listens to me and really helps me work through my depression. She's absolutely wonderful
I came into my sessions with Vanessa with no prior experience and very little understanding of what things I needed to work through to improve my mental and emotional well being. Vanessa was patient, kind, non-judgmental and insightful. She gave constructive feedback on the problems that I was having while at the same time making me feel like I was in a safe/comfortable space. I made significant changes in my lifestyle and relationships and all of that started with the conversations that I had with Vanessa. I would highly recommend her as a therapist to anyone looking for an intelligent, patient and kind person to speak with.
Vanessa is a great open ear. She offered me a lot of good insights for managing my stresses and I’ve always felt heard by her.
Vanessa is extremely kind and a wonderful person to talk to. She has been very helpful in my mental and physical health journey, offering me support and advice where I need it or just letting me vent and validating my experiences/feelings. I leave my weekly session with her feeling so much better and energized to take on the rest of the week. Could not recommend her enough :)
Vanessa is a fantastic counselor. She makes you feel seen and understood, and is empathetic, encouraging, caring and present. She made it easy for me to open up and she asks great questions. She is very available and always went out of her way to make time for me and chat. I am so grateful for her insight and care, she has been a pleasure to work with!
Vanessa is amazing. She’s an amazing listener and understanding. She’s always willing to provide you long sessions if needed and provides real steps in helping with your mental health. I am grateful to have her as a counselor!
Vanessa is very empathetic and I appreciate how present she is with her care. She makes herself available for multiple channels of communication and I feel very comfortable talking to her. With other therapists I've felt overly examined, dismissed or pitied and I don't feel those things from her.
