Hi! I'm Vanessa and I'm a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in California with over 10 years of clinical experience. I work with a wide range of clients with varying concerns, but I specialize in working with clients struggling with change, anxiety, unexpected or difficult life transitions and grief and loss. I also work with couples and assist them with working through infidelity, lack of trust, loss of compassion and those struggling with maintaining their relationships. Lastly, I have vast experience with substance abuse treatment, with both inpatient and outpatient treatment centers.
I like to approach therapy from a "what's working" perspective and I assist clients with finding successes within themselves in order to facilitate behavioral and emotional change. My treatment style is generally open, honest, direct and can be infused with humor and lightheartedness. I have training in Solution Focused therapy, narrative, CBT, and grief Edu-Therapy. Each person and client has a different communication style, and I'm able to tailor my services to meet your individual needs.
