About me

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist. It has been my pleasure to foster great rapport with my previous clients by helping them navigate the difficulties and challenges of their lives. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work in a wide variety of settings. I specialize in individual counseling and I have worked with children, adolescents, and families.
My specialties include: anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma, domestic violence, and immigration/acculturation problems.
My theoretical orientation is eclectic, combining cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavioral approaches with mindfulness and motivational interviewing.
My approach to therapy comes from the belief that every individual is their own expert and possesses the inner wisdom that guides them to find the right path, and my role as a counselor, is to help uncover your inner wisdom and resiliency.

Victoria had been great. I've been working with her for just over a year and have made so much progress that I wouldn't have been able to make without her help. She listens and remembers what I've said across second and she sets homework and has a plan for what we are going to be doing which helps.

Victoria is a very skilled therapist with a breadth of knowledge in cognitive behavioural therapy. I recommend her thoroughly after having received her excellent support through important life transitions.

Victoria has been so helpful to me since starting therapy. She explains theories and strategies in a way that help me really understand what I am feeling and experiencing. I have shared things I've learned with friends and family and anyone I have told said they wished she was were their therapist! She has helped me so much, I am so grateful for all she does.

Victoria has helped overcome many emotions I have had lingering for far too long with amazing coping methods and meditation. She is a very good listener and always has the perfect metaphor for the situation which makes it much much easier to focus and understand.
