I am a Licensed Master's Social Worker in the state of Michigan. Although I have only been in the field of therapy for about 6 years, I was able to gain my experience from many different opportunities that shaped my practice into what it is today. I have experience working with populations including families, children/adolescents, adults, who suffer from significant mental health concerns. Some of these concerns have included Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, trauma, Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar Disorder, Personality Disorders, Autism, mood disorders and ADHD. I have also provided support to individuals who may not be directly struggling with some of these mental health concerns, but are affected by it from another person they have a relationship with.
While my style of therapy will evolve to fit the needs of the person I am working with, my initial approach remains the same. My style is warm, interactive and non-judgmental. I believe issues you may be facing does not define who you are as a person. Getting to know who you are is my first priority as this allows me to have a better understanding of how I can be helpful to you. Depending on your needs I may use therapy styles such as Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to help provide support to you.
